Gap is... uh, confused?

Gap is treating my .txt files strangely - I'm not sure really whats going on, but theres question marks everywhere XD.

Meld by contrast:

The two sample text files.
127.txt
128.txt

I'm on windows 10, whatever the latest VS2022 compiler is (I updated it on the weekend).

I don't know if there's something wrong with the font its trying to use or my fonts folder?

Ah yeah, rendering UTF16 is a current limitation. I should be able to fix this easily though.
