0.29 Requirement of Customer Password?

Hey,
before just installing, trying it out and possibly having to restore a backup, I thought I'd simply ask beforehand: I currently do not have my customer PW and can't seem to reset it through solar.web as the note in the GUI implies I should be able to. I do however have the technician PW - so I've never needed the customer PW before.
Question: for 0.29, is the customer PW a hard requirement for the integration to run, or will it run without it?

As far as I know

1. The Customer User is hardcoded, so you need the password for the Customer user to use the API function.
2. You don't need the API to run this integration but you are missing some stuff.

Thank you for the answer! I'll update then (because I assume I won't be losing functionality vs the old version) and enjoy the additional API stuff once I manage to get my customer PW sorted :)
