Hi everyone, and welcome!

As some of you may have seen in the README, Textual is under new maintainership. For most of its life, Textual was built and maintained by a single full-time developer, who has since moved on to other ventures. We've taken over from here, and active development continues in this repository.

Development picks up from Textwerk, the community fork of Textual, which is now retired. Several of the features and fixes from Textwerk will make their way into an upcoming Textual release.

What this space is for

• Announcements: releases, roadmap updates and other news from the maintainers
• Q&A: help with setup, networks, themes, plugins or building from source
• Ideas: feature requests and suggestions; upvote the ones you care about
• Polls: occasional questions to help us prioritize
• Show and tell: share your styles, scripts, plugins and setups
• General: everything else Textual- or IRC-related

If you've found a reproducible bug, please open an Issue instead, so we can track it to a fix.

Getting involved

Pull requests are welcome, from typo fixes to bigger features. If you're planning something larger, starting a thread in Ideas first is a good way to check it fits before you put in the time. Build instructions are in the README.

You can also find us in #textual on irc.libera.chat. It's an IRC client, after all.
