Should gestures get an action picker? #2

What I want to achieve with this is to add a few useful actions, without causing choice overload - every extra option is a decision the app pushes onto you instead of making it itself. So anything that we add should fit nicely with the initial idea of the plugin system - yes, it's infinitely extensible, but it only has stuff that could have been part of macOS in another reality. |

I'd prefer 2 finger tap on magic mouse to do quick lookup, e.g. dictionary lookup, file quick lookup - similar to 3 finger tap on trackpad :) |

Autoscroll and the three-finger swipe already let a gesture do something other than middle click, but they're fixed - they're based on ideas that were actually intuitive or voted for. The question is whether to be more open-minded here:
let every gesture WheelClick recognizes pick its action from a short built-in list — middle click by default, with Look Up, Mission Control, Autoscroll and other actions alongside it.
Not on the table: recognizing new gestures, and open-ended bindings like "launch this app" — that's a different app, and it costs the setup time WheelClick exists to avoid.
WheelClick is built to be a part of macOS, maintaining the minimalism and intentional lack of arbitrary options.
