FWI in storage_mode="device" does not yield the same results as in storage_mode="disk"

I did FWI with the scalar equation,
once with storage_mode="device" and once with storage_mode="disk" and did not get the same results. I suspect this happens due to a bug.

That does indeed sound like a bug. Thank you for reporting it. This is one of the tests that is done to check the implementation, though, so I am surprised. Would it be possible for you to provide a simple code to reproduce it?
