Broken in 1.005

I used this successfully back in 1.003 for a while and coming back to the new update I find that uassets extracted from the 1.005 files don't open at all. Is there a possible fix for this?

So it looks like the issue is with the parser library that the editor depends on. The editor seems to be fine from my testing. I think the issue is that the game patch 1.005 started cooking packages with unversioned property serialization ( PKG_UnversionedProperties is now set in the package summary).

I seem to have it working locally right now, but I haven't tested it much. But I'll likely open a PR on the parser repo soon. The parser GitHub project hasn't been updated in a year, but I could link to my PR fix when I submit it. On my local machine I fixed the parser project and have the FF7RebirthDataObjectEditor just point directly to my local version now instead of the NuGet Package.

I tried fixing it and "maybe" it works just fine now, needs more testing. I don't really know how to share it, because I downloaded both this and the parser repository, merged them in visual studio and made the fixes, both on the parser and the editor. Since I'm not an expert I fixed it through Claude, so I don't really know what the solution is, but the problem seemed to be that FF7 Rebirth, from a specific update, started crypting uassets data in a different way, adding a byte of difference at the beginning of each data (god knows what that byte means), making the parser think that it was gonna be a tag and that it couldn't handle it. I also had to modify the editor because the save mode that was used wasn't working, had to change it to IoStoreAsset.Mode.OG_MODIFIED_BYTES.

For now modifying arrays length shouldn't work, whenever I'm able to fix that I'm gonna update the temporary solution we got on https://drive.google.com/file/d/1J7A0TiWmQ8aa_Jg61srh57eSMA32_g9X/view?usp=sharing

You should find a working .exe in the folder FF7RebirthDataObjectEditor-master\FF7RebirthDataObjectEditor\bin\Debug\net8.0-windows
Hope this works for you, at least as a temporary solution
