State Machine Statuses

It would be great if the queue (and potentially other functions) could be modelled on a State Machine for best observability.

Is this something that's been considered?

I actually am going down this path a little bit in the next major update. Somewhat similar to TanStack Query, most utils will have a status state that all other booleans states and getter APIs derive from.

The new major update where "status" state is available in most utils is here. We probably should do more to create consistency with how all of those values are set and derived though.
