docs: README first screen leads with the answer and the routes
One line on what the catalog is and what each entry records, then the site, the five starter stacks, the licence freshness page, the index and the licence guide, and a dated Recent line. The image showcase moves below Start here. No counts or ages that go stale beyond the checked source count. A curated catalog of **free, commercially usable** assets and tools for game development.

Free assets and tools for commercial games. Each entry records the licence as its source
11+
states it and the date someone read it there; active entries quote the source's own words.
12+
The catalog indexes sources and never rehosts them: check the source before you ship.

It indexes sources and never rehosts them. Every entry links to the original publisher and
13-
records the licence exactly as that publisher states it. Every `active` entry also quotes
14-
the live licence page with the date it was read. You can check any claim here in one
15-
click, and you should before you ship.

Choose by the job, not by the licence. Most sources in a category share a licence, so the
29+
licence column rarely tells you which one to pick. These guides compare sources that look
30+
interchangeable and are not. Several are measured from the files themselves, not the store

pages.
