Hydration to Eth keeps on failing

Hi team,

since days I am trying to bridge some USDC form Hydration to Ethereum. I have done this numerous times before. I have not changed the sending and the receiving accounts.

However I keep on running into the same error: 'Transfer blocked - Transaction cannot be sent, because: Dry run failed on Asset Hub.'

Why is this? This is also confusing, since I am not sending the USDC from Asset Hub but from Hydration.

Dont be alarmed, all bridged assets are routed through asset hub and bridge hub. The path is Hydration -> Asset Hub -> Bridge Hub -> Ethereum. And our UI dry runs it on each step to make sure it will make it through the whole journey before submitting the tx. This means the asset hub part of the journey failed during dry running. Maybe a technical error but it helps us troubleshoot when users provide screenshots.

We usually log out error detail to the console. Can you try again and share the result. You can right click and copy as object and paste it here so we can debug.

Ah the issue is that remaining DOT fee of 0.0085 gets dusted while we are trying to refund it to you on Asset Hub. This is causing the dry run to fail, but the transaction looks like it would of went through successfully and just the refund would of failed. So the issue is that our UI is being too defensive. Sending a smaller amounts leaves more DOT to be refunded and it goes through.

We will look into patching it.
