The lineofsight raytrace routine assumes the spatial resolution is in the same units and scale as the height values. This is fine for generating the lookup tables but for most other activities the option to pass DEM resolution is required. This should be a reasonably quick fix and I have been meaning to get in there and validate/clean-up/comment the lineofsight subroutines.
