Recommendation

Question as to whether this should be renamed to be "Sound Standard" inline with "Colour Standard", although noting that while Dolby systems would be tied to standards, there was never one single standard for "magnetic sound".

Sound technologies we should at the very least be seeking to capture are Optical Variable Density, Optical Variable Area, Dolby Stereo, Dolby Digital, SDDS, DTS and Magnetic.
