I think that's expected yes, I think it is best to use the time_bnds variable to investigate this |

Hi,
I have run a simulation which outputs monthly mean data in the h0 files (nhtfrq = 0; mfilt = 1; avgflag_pertape = 'A'). The time variable on these output data is the first of the next month. For example, the h0 file for 1950-01 would have a time variable value of February 01, 1950 and so on (1950-02 would have a time variable value of March 01, 1950). Is this the expected outcome? It causes some issues when using dates to select data, like in xarray.
However, for the daily mean files (nhtfrq = -24; mfilt = 1; avgflag_pertape = 'A') the time variable value matches the file name -- ie., there is not an issue.
Can anyone shed light on this output? Thanks!
