I love your work, thank you very much. I just wanted to point out that I am building something similar for Windows. I think my app might be quite intresting for people who use dictate. Check it out:

Might draw inspiration from the insanely powerful TypeWhisper

@MyButtermilk Same goes for the more basic Handy, which is quite popular and free. Though it is mainly built for on-device which I really like in enterprise environments where this topic is quite a thing.

Please consider local-first in your approach for dictation at least (for LLM rewriting I guess it might be quite hard).

@MyButtermilk Is this vibecoded or are you a developer reviewing each and every line of code the AI produces if using AI at all?

[george1612]

@MyButtermilk You should have a security policy so vulnerabilities are not reported as visible issues that can be abused before being fixed (this is best practice). And I recommend to polish your profile, add backlinks from verifiable sources like your LinkedIn or so, as otherwise trust is quite hard to earn with such a low number of stars etc.

Congrats on Discussions! But are you Dictate Keyboard (as I see on my Play Store) or DictateKeyboard? 😉
Jokes aside, AMAZING APP! Didn't get a chance to play with 5.0.0 yet (Play Store lags so I just got it), but I know it'll be great (well, within a few weeks as usually happens ironing out all the kinks). Will try not to bombard with bug reports, because I've noticed they usually fix themselves 😆 (they're usually pretty glaring).

Hey, thanks a lot for your feedback. I’m really glad you like the app so much. As for the name, I’m still not sure myself whether the space should be included or not. 😅
