Running (anvil --load-state fundme-anvil.json) fails with custom error

While running "anvil --load-state fundme-anvil.json" in my terminal it returns with a custom error that gas_limit is returned as string

error: invalid value 'fundme-anvil.json' for '--load-state <PATH>': failed to parse json file: "fundme-anvil.json": invalid type: string "0x1c9c380", expected u64 at line 6 column 28

For more information, try '--help'.

I used the AI model and it suggested changing thew character from hex to dec but i did that and it still showing the same error and I'm using the fundme-anvil.json file in the Github Repo

And to confirm the error I cloned the repository so as to check whether i missed something but it still failed

2) with deepseek help, I added coinbase as "coinbase": "0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000", after miner in json 3) still I get same error

I just got an error on the TSender part of the fullstack web3 course where anvil refused to load state because it was missing a field called "index" but rolling back to v1.0.0 fixed it

If you want to use the latest version of foundry you can add the index to the tsender-deployed.json at line 370 there will be a "position": 0 add a , and underneath add a "index: 0" so it will look like this

I tried that and it just changed from saying it was missing "index" on 371 to missing "index" on 372, but maybe I didn't input it correctly

Just downgrade your Foundry to version 1.0.0 and things would work as expected.

In the tsender-deployed.json change these values. You can change the string values using cast for example cast --to-dec 0x1c9c380

Change from:

To:
