LENSS (abbreviation for LENS-DOS) is a simple 32-bit operating system based on FreeDOS 1.4.
During boot, the 16-bit FreeDOS kernel loads the LENSS 32-bit kernel, which then switches the CPU to protected mode and takes full direct control of the hardware, operating independently from the DOS environment.
