Half of this already exists — do this today: press Esc mid-run. That pauses the message queue first ('pause-if-pending' interrupt policy), and anything you typed but never sent is requeued at the front instead of auto-starting a new turn you just tried to stop ( What that covers: stopping queued follow-ups and holding your draft while the run settles. What it doesn't cover, honestly: freezing a mid-generation model stream and resuming that exact generation later — Esc aborts the in-flight stream (with cleanup), it doesn't suspend it. True session freeze/resume (snapshot the run state, come back tomorrow) is the actual feature gap behind this request. So for now: Esc-pause + resume covers 'stop, think, continue'. If you need 'stop tonight, resume tomorrow mid-stream', say so here with that wording — that's the distinct feature to file. |
Uh oh!

I use Freebuff Desktop on Windows. It would be great to pause a running session and resume it later (e.g. 50 min of budget left, going to bed) — context kept, timer frozen, one click to resume. The project itself is already safe (disk memory + git); only the session suspension on the client side is missing.
