ESS DIVE Submission: Synoptic CB Sipper Data 2022

Starter To Do List for Sipper Data:

• Create an ESS DIVE Submission folder within the Sipper Data folder
• Clean up the metadata (data dictionary) for the files
• Create an author list
• Create a site locations list
• Create a data description
• Split All Data csv into yearly files
• Create a file level metadata (ie. file list)
• Make READ.ME file and match the descriptions and files listed above

I think this one has quite a few data dictionary things we will need to work on and I haven't started a read.me for it so may take a little longer.

To do list to clean up sipper data:

actual datafiles:

• Need to round ppm and mM data to less decimal points - I think three max is probably good for most things but we should do the decimals to the sensitivity of the instruments (ic should be two decimal points)
• IChange ic_mgL to DIC_mgL and DIC_uM
• remove NAs when there is no concentration flag
• take out conc in flag column names so it will just be SO4_flag; Cl_flag
• Change salinity to Salinity
• Is there any 2023 data? I am not sure that there is and if not, let's remove the 2023 file
• Change Sampler_Type from SIP to Porewater Sipper (Teflon)

data dictionary:

• Plot - can we list SWAMP in between up and TR
• Sample_ID - change definition to Porewater sample ID used in the field and laboratory
• Sampler_Type -

flmd:

• Remove 2023 file if there is no data
• Change description of data files to: Porewater samples collected with Sippers from the COMPASS CB synoptic sites in 2022

site list:

• Change W to WC in the description here

author list: - steph needs to create this and edit list
data text description - steph needs to write this

README for these data:

• Steph needs to create this
• Need to export summary figures for the readme file
• Need to find a picture of a sipper and put it on there
• Explain the difference between lysimeter and sipper
• Put some details about Zoe's analysis comparing the sipper to the lysimeter data

Note: Sippers are made of PTFE with Vinyl tubing attached
