Windows Defender detects Begzar 6.7.0 as Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!ml

Hello,

After downloading Begzar 6.7.0 for Windows from the official GitHub Releases page, Microsoft Defender detects it as:

Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!ml

It also quarantines the file:
libmahsa_lib.dll

I checked the installer on VirusTotal.

Result:
1/68 detections

Only Microsoft flags the installer, while all other antivirus engines report it as clean.

Could you please verify whether this is a false positive and, if so, submit the executable to Microsoft for analysis?

Thank you very much for taking the time to report this and for helping us improve Begzar. We really appreciate your feedback and your willingness to investigate the issue.

Unfortunately, even after we submit the file to Microsoft for analysis, the detection will remain until Microsoft updates their Defender signatures and users install the corresponding Windows Defender update. This has been a source of confusion for us as well.

We can confidently confirm that this is a false positive. The application is safe, and we are actively working with Microsoft to have the detection removed as soon as possible.

We expect this issue to be resolved in the near future.
